To receive a presentation on the full year impact of the welfare benefit reforms introduced in April 2013.
The presentation will include additional information requested by the Co-operative & Communities Scrutiny Committee on:
• The implications of the government’s decision to withdraw funding to local authorities for Local Crisis Assistance and Resettlement Assistance from April 2015;
• Service pressures related to benefit sanctions and in particular provision for adults with learning disabilities;
• Provision for tackling debt and in particular prevention measures and the role of the credit unions.
