Square Yard Project at Millbrook Primary

Grant funding will be used to help the school to participate in the Square Yard project.  The aim of the project is to develop the school garden which is currently unsafe for children to use, and turn it into a place where children can spend time outdoors, learning about the environment and about how food and plants are grown. Not only will this support their scientific learning and their understanding of the world, but it will also support children’s physical and mental health and wellbeing.  The eventual aim is for the garden to be a place that is open to the whole school and local community.
