Diversity and inclusion

Picture of Diversity and inclusion

At Telford & Wrekin Council, we know that having a diverse workforce is key to providing the best possible services to our community. The richness of this diversity means we can better understand needs and deliver excellent services, as well as supporting employees. We know we are stronger and better connected as a result.

As such, we welcome and encourage job applications from diverse candidates, including people with disabilities, people who identify as Black, Asian and/or Minority Ethnic, and people who identify as Lesbian, Gay, Bi, Trans, non-binary and/or Queer.

We are a disability confident employer, awarded in recognition of our commitment to recruiting and retaining people with disabilities or other health conditions. This shows that we go the extra mile to make sure disabled people get a fair chance, with the aim to create more accessible jobs and a more inclusive workforce.
